Golden Sunrise pranced at the end of his lead, clearly eager to get moving. His handler knew him too well though, and dodged just in time as the stallion lunged forward, trying to grab his hat. The man laughed, and shook his fist teasingly at him, which only caused the stallion to enjoy his games more.
Throwing his bright sorrel head into the air, he half reared before following the man to what he called his post. Turning his head, the stallion thought he heard someone he knew. his sister was nearby, calling out to him kindly. She was older than he, and Golden Sunrise had always looked up to her. No matter how slowly she learned, she seemed to light up the place with her kindness. Someone walked by, and the stallion lunged, grabbing the hat off the poor man's head and waving it in the air, as if he was laughing at the man.
The man yelled and cursed, and tried to grab his hat back, but the stallion refused to lower his head. Why should he, when the man couldn't ask nicely?
